This one is dicey and I’m not afraid to admit that I fail more in this area than almost any other. Why is it so hard to do what you know you should do to be healthy? I like to be healthy! I like to be healthy more than chocolate cake. But, you would never know it if you left me in a room alone with a chocolate cake. This is where fleeing from temptation is a valuable skill. So, what are my goals in this area all spelled out in black and white making them impossible for me to renege on should I find myself in the presence of chocolate cake?
HEALTH AND FITNESS:
~lose all my baby weight and then some
- workout five days a week
- 2 times at the gym
- 3 times at home or outside once the weather becomes fit for man and beast
- 1 day of doing something active with the family
~get at least 7 hours of sleep a night, preferably 8
~drink lots of water (1/2 my body weight in ounces is the goal… we’ll see)
~follow a strict vegan diet very similar to Hallelujah Acres and/or Eat to Live
- include daily juicing
- include at least one green smoothie a day
- include at least one day of juice fasting per week
- include at least one week of juice fasting in the month of January
~take my vitamins and quit forgeting my Barley Max and flax
~don’t forget my dry skin brushing daily
~do myofascial stretching at least 3 times a week but shoot for 6
Those are the basics on my health list not including many of the specifics (lest your eyes glaze over). Anyone got any exciting recipes with hemp seed or a sure fire abdominal workout that can reverse the seven-baby-bulge?
