A wonderful piano player will sit down.
If he sits at the piano he might see a hymnal and open it.
If he opens it he might begin to play a doctrinally rich hymn of the faith.
If he plays a doctrinally rich hymn of the faith, someone might also open a hymnal and begin to sing.
If they begin to sing, a flutist might hear and start to play.
If a flutist starts to play, others may gather and start to sing.
If others gather and start to sing, a violinist might join in.
If a violinist joins in, even more people will start to sing.
And that, my friends, is how a hymn sing is born.
