And Sarah laughed…

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, after I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And the LORD said unto Abraham, wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.  ~Genesis 18: 12-14

Yes, my friends. It seems I am greatly blessed of the Lord as this morning I received the shock of my life when I saw these two pink lines. I have had the indescribable joy to see it seven times now and I never thought I’d experience this privilege again. Me of little faith. Just like Sarah. What an amazing thing this is!

Baby number seven (the number of perfection, I should note) is on his or her way. The children are giddy with anticipation already and I am sitting back and pondering these things in my heart. The Lord is worthy of praise for bringing forth life from an old vessel like me. May I be found worthy of the call!

(Yes, I’m 44 for those of you trying to count it up on your fingers. And, I’ll be a few short weeks from 45 when this baby makes his or her appearance in early May. Waxed old indeed.)

God’s ways are WONDERFUL… and absolutely PERFECT!

I’m reminded of this verse… “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper, not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. ” Jeremiah 29:11

What a wonderful blessing – I had my last child at just about the same age – I needed to rest more – (Hint! Hint!) but other than that it was a piece of cake…well, ahem, as much as any pregnancy can be! You’ll be great – enjoy, savor, relish it all!

You are greatly blessed among women!

I will be praying for you!

    Blessings,

    Congratulations!
It’s been a long time since I’ve visited your blog. I had determined that I was spending too much time looking at blogs and not enough time living life—so when our computer developed a problem with the motherboard, it was the perfect time to just stop.
But today I was cleaning out my desk and found a list of blogs that I used to visit–something I had done just before our motherboard was replaced–and I decided to just stop by and see what was new in your family.
    Such a wonderful surprise! :-)
I’m very happy for you and pray that all is well and that you have an easy pregnancy.
BTW-one of my very closest friends delivered her 7th baby just after she turned 46–so being nearly 45 isn’t all that old at all. ;-D
